CTCA (Cooloola Trail Care Alliance)

CTCA (Cooloola Trail Care Alliance) A centrepoint for MTB and related Trail Advocacy in the Gympie Region - with a focus on securing recreational trails for cycling, hiking and trail running.

CTCA was founded in 2011 with the original objective of securing either tenure or access to land somewhere close to Gympie on which to develop a trail network suitable for mountain biking and other compatible recreational uses. In 2012 we secured a management agreement with Council over 20ha of vacant bushland (the abandoned rifle range) at Victory Heights, Gympie. In 2013 Council required that CT

CA take exclusive possession of the land under lease to enable the trail network to be expanded over the full 60ha that is the current day facility. CTCA has the goal of making the facility we have constructed available to the general public free of charge and subject to the usage management policy that is available on our website. CTCA are not a sporting club; we can be best described as a volunteer trail development and advocacy group. We are affiliated and registered with the Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA). As CTCA members or assisting volunteers, we operate under IMBA and MTBA guidelines and codes of practice. CTCA is also involved in other local trail development and advocacy efforts. Pop over to our website to find out more or feel free to get in contact.
