This day honours the resilience, strength, and leadership of rural women across the world.

From raising livestock and growing food to passing on traditions and holding communities together, rural women are often the backbone of agricultural regions.
When it comes to the Ag Show movement, rural women from every part of Queensland are at its heart.

They’re volunteers, stewards, competitors, judges, educators, innovators — and quiet powerhouses in their communities.
Whether they’re baking the winning sponge cake, stewarding the cattle section, mentoring young showgirls, or leading a committee — their impact is both visible and deeply felt.

Here’s to the rural women of Queensland!

Wow it’s kind of hard to put into words my experience at the Queensland Country Life Showgirl Awards. Just Phenomenal!

We had a jam packed week of professional development from the get go. Hearing from amazing speakers and empowering women like the Douglas sisters, Lisa Hewitt and Deb Frecklington.
We visited Parliament and Government House, spent time at the Ekka, had an etiquette lesson, got to know our fellow rural ambassadors and had lots and lots of networking and public speaking opportunities.

It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity, that I’d recommend to any young woman. One of learning, growth, new friendships and fun!

To my fellow Showgirls (who I now have the privilege of calling my friends) it was a blast living with you all for a week, thank you for showing what true sisterhood looks like and I can’t wait to see where everyone’s bright futures take them 🥰

Grace and I popped into the Kilcoy Show this weekend, it was a lovely day and we loved their BnS Ute display - especially their Dolly’s dream one 🦋

I wanted to say a very big thank you to the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show for having us in June and thank you for inviting us to your opening ceremony! It was a fantastic show that showcased so much from the local community. I loved my mini cob loaf and bought some delicious homemade jams - one which I’ve already finished 🍓😅

Good evening everybody, I wanted to share some photos from our 2025 Gympie Showgirl Awards night. We had a lovely morning where I got to spend the day with our entrants in between their interviews and for their judging lunch, then I was very honoured to announce our 2025 Senior Showgirl Grace Hankinson 👏
I am so proud of all our entrants for this year they all put in so much effort and did a fantastic job, and a big congratulations to all our winners for 2025!

Good morning everyone!
Happy new year! I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas holidays ✨
I thought I’d do a bit of an update, as I’m sure most of you may know by now but in November last year, I had the privilege of competing at Sub chambers with all our other Gympie entrants. I am very honoured in sharing that I won and am the 2025 Near North Coast Showgirl. A massive congratulations to James and Payton who also won! Gympie for the Trifecta!
This was definitely unexpected as all the girls were amazing and I’m very excited to see what 2025 brings and to compete at the Ekka.
I always want to say a big thank you to everyone who constantly supports me on this journey, it is forever appreciated 💕

Also don’t forget we have our bull and bronc coming up in February! And if anyone ever needs volunteers for events please let me know, I’m always happy to help 😊
