Last week we held our inaugural AGM for Next Gen Gunnedah, a sub-committee of the Gunnedah Chamber of Commerce

After a positive first 15 months, we were thrilled to welcome new members to both the executive and general committee alongside those returning for a second year.

On Thursday, we're celebrating the unsung heroes of our community at the Gunnedah Shire Band Hall from 11am to 2:30pm.

We have three fantastic guest speakers who will be sharing their stories of leadership, innovation and resilience, including Georgia Campbell, president of Next Gen Gunnedah.

Next Gen AGM is coming up this week and we would love to have you in the room! Weโ€™ve got some great momentum to build on in to 2027 and hope welcome some new faces to the committee!

All executive committee positions will be declared vacant at the AGM along with a number of general committee positions available to be filled!

Gunnedah Shire Council is developing its next Community Strategic Plan 2027-2037, which will set the long-term vision and priorities for our community.

The Council has now developed a draft community vision and strategic directions, and are seeking feedback to ensure it is an accurate reflection of our commnunity.

At the Next Gen AGM - Council staff will present initial findings and seek your feedback on the draft Plan. If you are interested - come along to the Next Gen AGM this Wednesday at 5.30pm (RSVP via the link below)

Calling all local tradies! Come and enjoy a coffee courtesy of Commbank โ˜•

To celebrate the completion of Mitre 10 Gunnedah's exciting renovations, Commonwealth Bank is shouting every tradie a free coffee from Cup of Cosy coffee van in the Mitre 10 car park from 7am โ€“ 8:30am on Tuesday 13th October.

We're looking forward to being able to share a little more about the opportunities within Next Gen and come and have a chat with the Commonwealth Bank team about how we're supporting local tradies and small businesses.

Mitre 10 will also be on hand firing up the BBQ and showcasing the benefits of their loyalty program.

The Publicity Officer shapes how Next Gen shows up publicly โ€” managing socials, promotions, and member communications. They help tell our story, boost engagement, and ensure our events and initiatives are seen and supported.

Key Responsibilities
