✨ Yaama Gunnedah! ✨
Red Chief Local Aboriginal Land Council, led by the Galuma-li Dhawun Rangers, is now calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Community Members, Organisations and Schools who would like to participate in Women’s Week 2026.

Proudly funded by NSW Women Government, this powerful week will celebrate, strengthen and showcase the voices, creativity and leadership of Aboriginal women and girls — while welcoming all community members to stand together in unity.
All community members are welcome, including non-Aboriginal community. Together we strengthen empowerment for all women of Gunnedah.
The week will include:
🔥 Traditional Smoking Ceremony and Welcoming – Monday 2 March
🎭 Dance Costume Making
🎨 Art Workshops – “Art is healing; stories are strength.”
🖌 Art & Painting – “Visualising Resilience.”
🧵 Weaving – “Weaving Threads of Connection.” (Tuesday 3 March)
📿 Jewellery Making – “Every Bead a Story.”
🧁 Baking – “Ingredients of Survival.”
💆🏽♀️ Pampering & Well-being – “Nurture your spirit, empower your mind.”
✨ The week will conclude with a Women’s Week Showcase on Friday 6 March 2026, celebrating the strength, resilience and powerful expressions of the women of Gunnedah.
