WE MISS GINNI

GINNI WRIGHT 16 Feb 1953 – 9 May 2026
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Ginni’s passing. Ginni was a much-loved and active member of the Gundiah Community Place / Gundiah Memorial Hall Association. Her warm spirit and generous support for croquet and so many community events and projects will never be forgotten. Although limited by health, Ginni was a dedicated doer for our little community. Ginni has suffered from emphysema for many years and had a short run in with cancer. Ginni will be dearly missed. Our thoughts are with James, her family and all who loved her.
There is a bonfire celebration for her this Saturday...

ANZAC DAY DAWN SERVICE
@ Tiaro Memorial Hall + Tiaro RSL sub-branch

A stirring service. Especially noted, the poem by Bruce Campbell - Filling the Gap. The horsemen and women were wonderful. It rained as it started and poured at the finish. Timed beautifully. Thank you to those who organised and attended.

Chewy or crunchy?

ANZAC biscuits are an Australian and New Zealand tradition, stretching back to the First World War, when they were baked at home and sent to our troops on the front line.

Made to last the long journey, they were baked hard — meaning soldiers enjoyed them firmly on the crunchy side.

More than a century later, in the lead up to ANZAC Day, many people commemorate the service and sacrifice of our defence personnel by baking ANZAC biscuits.

And the age old question remains, do you prefer your ANZAC biscuits chewy or crunchy?
