A massive 24/7 data centre, powered by the equivalent of dozens of train engines—proposed next to a river, a hospital and a school.

🚨 THIS IS WHAT THEY WANT TO BUILD NEXT TO A SCHOOL, A HOSPITAL AND OUR RIVER 🚨
A building bigger than multiple warehouses…
Running 24/7…
Powered by what is essentially a row of 88 train engines…
Right next to the Helena River.
Right next to a school.
Right next to the new Hospital Hub
This is not “light industry.”
This is a massive industrial facility being pushed into one of the most sensitive parts of our community.
💧 Water use? Unclear.
🔊 Noise? Downplayed.
⚡ Power? Not even secured.
👉 Don’t be misled — this is not a “must-build-here” site. It’s just where they’ve chosen to put it.
And yet we’re being asked to accept it.
You can literally fit several Bunnings inside this building; and lined the outside with machinery the size of locomotive engines, stacked 3 high.
Have you ever heard a quiet locomotive?
This is not normal.
This is not appropriate.
And this is not the right place.
👉 If this doesn’t feel right to you — it’s because it isn’t.
Say no. Refuse this proposal.
SUBMISSION CLOSE: 5 pm on 30 March

“This proposal is incomplete, inconsistent, and in the wrong location"
"The risks to the community and the river are not properly assessed"
