1st Grovedale Scout Group Scrap Metal Collections The 1st Grovedale Scout Group collects scrap metal at its hall as a fundraiser for its group activities.

You are welcome to leave scrap metal at the back gates of our hall and we will transfer it to our bin and sell it to raise money to support our youth.

A huge THANK YOU to all our supporters out in the community helping us with our scrap metal fundraiser. The statistics from 2025 are in and we are so proud and grateful! This is the best fundraiser that our group has and it feels so good knowing that we also kept nearly 87 tonnes (1480 cubic metres) of metal out of landfill last year. We couldn't do it without your help though and we appreciate all the support you have given over the months. Please continue to spread the word about our scrap metal collection. We have a bin at our scout hall in Perrett Street in Grovedale and we can also organise some collections for local homes and businesses.

Huge news - we have raised over $10,000 through our scrap metal fundraiser so far this year with 7 weeks of 2025 left to go! A massive thank you to all of you who have donated scrap metal and to all our volunteers. You are helping to support so many activities for our youth members throughout the year. And think of the amount of metal that we have prevented from being dumped into landfill as well! And don't forget to tell your networks about our scrap metal fundraiser by sharing the link to this page.

Hello to our wonderful supporters! A little announcement to let you know that, if you need assistance with unloading your scrap metal into our bin at Perrett Street, this can be arranged - but you will need to contact us first to organise. Our volunteers are not always on site to assist. Feel free to send us a Facebook message and we will get in touch to schedule a time that suits. Thank you for your continued support.
