GM Australia sent over the standard Holden Monaro platform, rebadged it based on the HSV GTO to the Pontiac GTO, and sold roughly 40,000 of them across North America from 2004-06.

The last Pontiac GTO bound for the US rolled off the assembly line in Australia on June 14, 2006. Based on the Holden Monaro-HSV GTO, it carried a brutal 6.0-litre V8 LS2, manual transmission and rear-wheel drive... The classic recipe for a modern classic muscle car!
