Join us at Piccolo Family Farm for an intimate, easy-going evening of live piano, good food, and time well spent, performed by accomplished Central Coast pianist Mary-Ellen Wallace.
The Piccolo Family Farm chapel space transforms into a relaxed pop-up piano bar, anchored by the beautiful grand piano and filled with some of the most beautiful music ever written. Expect a thoughtfully curated journey through classical and romantic piano masterpieces, impressionist works, and modern classical favourites — from composers such as Sibelius, Liszt, Kats-Chernin, Chopin, Rakmaninoff, Debussy and Satie.
This isn’t a stiff recital or hushed concert hall — it’s classical music in a warm, welcoming room where friends connect and the afternoon unfolds at its own pace.

$20 per person
Piccolo Family Farm bar will be open, and woodfired pizzas by Limone will be available for purchase on arrival.

Proceeds go toward ArtFarm and supporting local and traveling artists.

We are honoured to welcome the highly accomplished Melissa Buchholz as our 2025 adjudicator for the Nancy Blumer OS Butler Memorial Quest! 🎶

With a career spanning over 30 years, Melissa is a nationally respected musician and educator whose expertise in piano, woodwind, and theory has shaped countless aspiring performers. A graduate of DDIAE (now USQ), she was awarded Best Performer and the Dean’s Trophy for Solfege — just the beginning of a distinguished journey.

Melissa holds multiple qualifications, including:
🎵 AMusA with Distinction
🎵 LTCL in both Piano and Recorder
🎵 FTCL
🎵 Certificate in Church Music
🎵 Graduate Diploma in Education

In 2023, she was appointed as an international examiner for Trinity College London, a role that takes her around the globe.

A seasoned performer, Melissa has graced the stage of the Sydney Opera House, toured the UK, and contributed significantly to the community through music, earning her the title Young Citizen of the Year.

From directing major musical events and regional workshops, to performing in hit shows, Melissa continues to inspire through her dynamic contributions. She also runs MB Backing Tracks, a successful business supporting musicians nationwide.

We are thrilled to have Melissa bring her wealth of knowledge and experience to Quest!

We are excited to announce that entries are officially open for the Nancy Blumer O.S. Butler Memorial Quest – a prestigious opportunity for young musicians to shine on stage! 🎵

This annual Quest honours the legacy of Nancy Blumer and O.S. Butler, two passionate advocates for music and education, and continues to inspire excellence in performance, musicianship, and dedication.

This Quest is open to young musicians between the age of 12 and 18 living within an 168km radius of Griffith. With a fantastic adjudicator and many cash prizes to be won, we encourage all vocalists and instrumentalists to participate.

It is that time of year again and we are calling out for young musicians to enter the 2025 Nancy Blumer & OS Butler Memorial Quest.

Important details to note are:

Entry cost: $10 per entry
Requirements: 12 – 18 years, living within 168km of Griffith

There are many prizes available, as well as a People's Choice Award - so encourage your family and friends to join in the evening.
