This Sunday we need some muscle to help move constructed beds into position.

Ideally if you could be there around 9am we can shift the two beds which need one person at each corner.

Hi

We are looking for free materials to complete our shade house extension.🥬🥕❤️

🥬 Poly pipe and ectrical conduit lengths above 2400mm, anything under 90mm diameter

🥕 70 x 35 or similar framing timber, treated if possible, lengths of 2400mm up to 5500mm.

🥬 3 x chapel style or square opening windows,
Size roughly 600 x 900 each.

🥕 Roofing plastic, transparent or partially opaque, at least 0.5mm thick or more, as much as you have OR

🥬 Corrugated roofing transparent or partially opaque, as much as you have.

🥕 Construction ply, about 20 square metres

❤️ Can pick up anywhere.

Hi Everyone

We got rained out today. Next week we'll try again.

Jobs are:
1.Distribute raw and finished compost into holes dug into unused and subsided beds
2. Add worm castings and a little dynamic lifter
3. Cover with soil

Then mid week after that we'll get a big load of good soil and get it tipped into the public front bed, then top up all the beds with it, mulch, and plant seedlings, peas and beans.

Hi everyone, we are having a Working Bee from 8am tomorrow.
The job is to prepare beds for soil delivery.
So we're going to bury some compost, food waste, worm castings and dynamic lifter into any bed that needs a top up. Then we'll leave it for a week for the worms and once the soil is delivered, top them up.
This will give us a much needed boost in soil power, and into that we'll be able to replant for this season.❤️🙏🥕

Hi Everyone

In a few weeks we're going to extend our shade house. Anyone keen to do some building (very light work, it's poly pipe and shadecloth, left over from our previous Bunnings grant), is welcome to help in this, both design and construction.

The new area will be a small combination workshop and classroom for gardening and art.

All welcome...please come any Sunday morning to chat over our free morning tea, usually around 10.30am❤️🙏🥕

Hi Everyone
Change of season clean up. Let's cut all the curcurbits off at soil level and compost the massive leaf and flower residue. Then time to plants peas, beans and so on. Feel free to mow the pumpkin vine in situ.🙏🥕❤️
