This is little Oaky, a whiptail wallaby, also known as a pretty-faced wallaby.

He arrived late at night, a week ago. He has had a few issues which we hope are now sorted after his vet visits.

Such different colouring as velvet joeys compared to the adults.

Grow big Oaky!

We picked up this little female red-necked wallaby last night. Her mum was hit by a car and a passing motorist noticed she had not been checked.

Thankfully she stopped and found this beautiful joey.

Now in care, we think she will do well โค๏ธ her name is Sally

This little guy recently made his way to us from The Park's Wildlife Care and Rescue (thank you). The usual story, mum was hit by a car ๐Ÿš—

He has a few bumps and bruises, and another issue or two that the vet is working on ๐Ÿฉบ

He weighed in at approximately 760g. He wiggles way too much to get a more precise weight ๐Ÿ’š

We have our fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž that he makes a full recovery and grows big and strong ๐Ÿ’ช

GRAPHIC PHOTO WARNING!

How can someone do this? Hit so hard that her joey was ejected from the pouch. Two obliterated legs!

This was the scene we were called to this morning. We did not pose this photo. We are seeing scenes similar to this daily. A member of the public stopped and stayed until help arrived.

The joey was deceased, mum was euthanised. Yes, we made that decision, zero chance of fixing those injuries!!

This was the third of five that we attended before 9.30am.

People need to take responsibility. It was an accident, we understand that, we doubt it was deliberate, but call for help! Stop, call, stay. Try to stop the animal being hit again and again. If they are off the road, a simple phone call and pin drop of the location is sufficient.

Help us to help them ๐Ÿ™

Tax time is here โ€” and itโ€™s the perfect moment to make a difference ๐Ÿฆ˜๐Ÿ’š

As you prepare your return, remember that donations to registered wildlife charities are tax deductible. That means you can support a cause you care about and reduce your taxable income.

Right now, Australian native animals need our help more than ever. From habitat loss to extreme weather events, thousands of injured and orphaned animals rely on rescue, rehabilitation, and release programs to survive.

Your donation helps provide:
๐Ÿฉบ Emergency rescue and veterinary care
๐Ÿผ Rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife
๐Ÿ”จ Construction of the release pens
๐ŸŒณSafe release back into the wild where they belong

Every dollar goes toward giving our native animals a second chance at life.

So this tax time, consider turning part of your return into real impact. Donate, make it count, and help protect Australiaโ€™s incredible wildlife for future generations.

๐ŸŒฟ Donate today and be part of the rescue.

We recently received a call about a young koala crossing the road in a dangerous spot. The little one made it safely across the road but had climbed a sapling growing close to the edge of the road.

We went out and explained we were unable to relocate the koala, she appeared to be in good health and the longer we were there, the less chance she would move to a safer tree.

The residents were going to check on her after a few hours. In this time she had moved to a lovely large gum tree.

Stay safe little one ๐Ÿจ

Sunday night saw the arrival of this tiny little red-necked wallaby by our newest members.

They did an awesome job! Safely removed from the deceased mother's pouch, kept warm and transported to go into care.

Well done Montana and Danae โค๏ธ true assets to the group, and for the wildlife ๐Ÿฆ˜

Last week he would have been jumping freely over the land he called home, not a care in the world, but over the weekend someone put up a fence. He didn't see it ๐Ÿ˜ž

We are currently at the scene waiting for our vet to sedate the poor boy. Hopefully he will check out ok.

Earlier in the week we were called out by one of the local vets to pick up this little poppet.

Her mum had been hit by a car and passed away. Her little girl was laying beside her. A kind MOP (member of public) stopped to check and drove her to the vet.

Weighing just 360g with beautiful big eyes โ˜บ๏ธ a few superficial grazes.
