Sprinkle love, sprinkle friendship, sprinkle kindness, sprinkle the joy of reading.

Books for kids and grown-ups can be found here. Donations of books welcome. Welcome to Sprinkle the Street Library located at 166 Crest Road Greenbank 4124. In our house, we love books – story books, novels, informative books, recipe books and non-fiction books – all sorts of books. We have lived here for 25 years (since 1995) – a street library is our way of sharing our love of books with our community. Take a book, give a book, share a book.

There’s a lot wrong with the world. And it can feel overwhelming. And scary. And hard. And there are lots of ways to resist, stand up, stay strong, and fight back. Our way of fighting back might seem small and insignificant, but to us, keeping these lights on inside this little Ann Arbor corner bookshop is an act of resistance. Because a bookstore is in itself an act of resistance. It is a belief that literature can birth empathy, that words can heal, that voices can change, that curated books and thoughtful writing are important. No, bookstores can’t and won’t save the world. But we believe good books can, at least, help. And so, as best we can, we keep reading, we keep recommending, we keep that door open, and as best we can, we keep those lights on.

I have recently been fortunate to travel to Borneo and Malaysia. I loved visiting these regions for all the beautiful flora and fauna. 🦧πŸͺ·

I was staying in a town called Ipoh and
I was curious about a bookshop that i discovered on Google. Before we arrived in the town of Ipoh and instead of following the crowd to the usual tourist spots I was intent on finding this. My first job was in a bank and it brought back memories of "strong rooms" (ie vault where the money is locked up) and multiple filing drawers for all that paperwork.

I even got caught in a sudden rain storm without a brolly...everyone thought I was crazy and I guess I am! It was well worth it for all the above reasons and to have a good old sniff at real books (i love the smell of books! 🀣) and yes I bought a book!

Is there anyone else out there who will do anything to smell a book?!!
