✨🥇 Wings of Kindness: Kevin Jensen Crowned 2025 Greenbank Community Hero🦸🏼✨
The Greenbank community has spoken, and we are thrilled to announce that Kevin Jensen has been voted the winner of the " 2025 Greenbank Community Hero Award"!! Kevin's tireless dedication to serving the community and protecting the environment has earned him this prestigious title and we couldn't be more proud.
As a proud senior citizen and local resident, Kevin has spent over 15 years giving back to the Greenbank community and inspiring countless individuals along the way. His remarkable contributions as a home delivery volunteer for Logan City Council Libraries have brought joy and knowledge to those unable to visit the library themselves, with nearly 15 years of unwavering commitment to this service.
Kevin's passion for environmental conservation is equally impressive, with his work as a Citizen Scientist monitoring and recording the movements of Powerful Owls, Greater Gliders, and Yellow-bellied Gliders as part of the Powerful Owl Project earning him recognition from the Queensland Chief Scientist.
He is also a beloved figure in the community, he brings joy to children and families with Santa visits and spreading kindness and generosity wherever he goes.
When asked about his motivations, Kevin humbly credited his daughter for introducing him to volunteering, saying, “it is about taking it day by day and keeping your ear to the ground, to see where we can help”. Kevin's volunteerism is a testament to the power of dedication and community spirit, and we are honoured to have him as a role model in our community.
Thank you to the other remarkable community hero finalists locals Mynette Fulmer and Gavin and Jade, for their inspiring pursuits and admirable dedication in our community through Active Kids and Wheelnutz. We recognise their achievements🌟🌟🌟
Thank you to Everleigh Mirvac by for making the Awards a reality each year.
