Lao-Oz Incorporated VISION 1. The children of Laos are empowered to reach their full potential
VISION 2 - Lao culture and traditions are sustained and embraced in Australia

LaoOz Inc is a Sydney based community group formed with the following three objectives:

1. Providing support to underprivileged primary schools in Laos:
LaoOz will provide donations of school equipment, educational materials/stationery and construction of much needed facilities such as toilets, classrooms and libraries. LaoOz has a philosophy of not donating cash but will directly purchase and d

onate the items in person by a member of the Lao Oz team. From time to time members will be invited to attend fundraising events as well as opportunities to travel to Laos and help with the physical donation and construction of school facilities.

2. Preserve and promote Lao culture and identity in Australia:
Lao Oz aims to organise and assist in the formation of different events and ongoing activities that will help maintain Lao culture and traditions in Australia. Examples include arts and cultural performances, food festivals, Lao language classes for adults and children, study and leisure tours to Laos. The foundation is also focused on fostering projects which will bridge the inter-generational gap of people with Lao heritage.

3. Point of contact for all things Lao:
Lao Oz will be a source of information and networking opportunities as well as a link in facilitating ongoing positive relations between Laos and Australia in areas of education, community development and human resource. Lao Oz can be contacted for comments, assistance on ideas and projects or simply wanting direction on anything related to Laos. YOU ARE INVITED TO BE PART OF THE TEAM.....

And that’s a wrap! Schools out for 2025 🎓
Special thank you to Ms Anne Stanley MP of Werriwa and Mr Chatoulong Bouasisavath, The Honourable Lao Ambassador of Laos for joining our end of year presentation and celebrations. We appreciate your continued support.
To all the teachers, students, parents of students and supporters of Lao Oz language and culture school - thank you for showing up each week (voluntarily!) early on a Saturday morning and enthusiastically taking part in all school activities - from weekly classroom lessons to community presentations and events. Without your participation and support this little school would not exist. Thank you for being the pulse of the school and for keeping it going week on week.
We wish everyone a safe holiday and we look forward to seeing you next year on Saturday 14 Feb 2026!
