Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner North Inc QLD A humanitarian and Community Service Organisation

The Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner North is in District 9600 and meets on the First and Third Tuesday Nights of each month at 6pm for 6:30pm at Grange Bowls and Community Club, 79 Selheim Street, Grange. They are a Community Service Organisation part of Rotary International, formed from a merger between the Stafford Rotary and Windsor Rotary clubs in 2016.

Tonight we heard from Tanya Salter from Hummingbird House came to speak to our clubs about their Hospice work - the difference is that they are focused on supporting children. During the 9 years it has been operating all three clubs have provided support for their important work.

On the weekend The Rotary Club of Nundah with support from Aspley Rotary and Rotary Club of Brisbane Inner North supported the Nundah Festival - cooking and serving over 1,100 Sausages and Bread and drinks in just over an hour on Friday and serving more food and drinks on Sunday. Thanks also to the Nundah Mens Shed for assisting on Friday.

Yesterday we donated another 15 Shelterbags to Nourish Street Inc on behalf of the Rotary Club of Kenmore, Australia (5 bags) and Rotary Club of Mt Gravatt (10 bags) to assist those that are homeless.

We have been told they could do with another 100 if we had them!

On Friday the Rotary Club of of Brisbane Inner North donated 10 Shelterbags to Nourish Street Inc to help support homeless people in Brisbane City.

While these will bearly scratch the surface at least 10 people have some protection from the elements.
