🎄 Important Update – Gowrie Junction Christmas Night 🎅

Due to unexpected circumstances, the Gowrie Junction Community Christmas Night at the hall will no longer be going ahead this Saturday.

But don’t worry – Santa hasn’t forgotten you! 🎁🎅

From 4:30 PM this Saturday, Santa will be cruising the streets of Gowrie Junction in the Rural Fire Brigade truck, spreading cheer and waving to families along the way. 🚒✨

Listen for the bell, kids – Santa’s on his way, and he’s bringing lollies! 🍬🔔

Thanks for your understanding, and we wish everyone a safe and joyful festive season.

🌿 Introducing the New Gowrie Junction Progress Association (GJPA) 🌿

We’re excited to reintroduce the Gowrie Junction Progress Association – a volunteer-run group made up of locals who care deeply about our community and its future.

As volunteers, we all have families, jobs, and daily commitments – but we give our time because we believe in the power of community. Our goal is to bring people together through events, activities, and shared spaces throughout the year.

Some events are completely free, and for others we may ask for a small donation. This simply helps cover costs so we can keep things affordable and inclusive, while also maintaining our much-loved Gowrie Junction Community Hall – a space for everyone to use and enjoy.

💬 Want to get involved? We’d love that! Whether you’re keen to join the committee, lend a hand occasionally, or just come along to our next meeting to share your ideas and feedback – you’re always welcome. More hands really do make light work, and every bit of support helps keep our community strong and connected. Get in touch at [email protected] and stay updated on upcoming events via Facebook.

Here’s to a thriving Gowrie Junction, built by locals, for locals. 💚

Warmly,

GJPA Committee

A Personal Message from the New President 💛

As I step into the role of President of the Gowrie Junction Progress Association, I want to begin by offering a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing President, Secretary, and Bookings Coordinator.

Your time, energy, and unwavering dedication over the past few years have been nothing short of inspiring. You’ve each played a vital role in shaping our community—coordinating countless events, managing the day-to-day running of the hall, and leading with care, consistency, and a true community spirit. Because of your efforts, the hall has become more than just a space — it’s become a place where people feel welcome, supported, and connected.

On behalf of the new committee, thank you for laying such a strong foundation. We recognise the time and heart you’ve poured into this role, and we’re truly grateful. It’s because of you that we’re in a strong position to carry the torch forward.

To our wonderful community — we’re excited for what lies ahead. The new committee is committed to building on the legacy left by those before us. We look forward to continuing to bring people together, to support local initiatives, and to keep the spirit of Gowrie Junction alive and thriving.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Warmly,

Zadey Meredith

And congratulations to the new GJPA committee! 🎉👏👏

The community of Gowrie Junction is in good hands with this incoming committee so please make sure you support them wherever possible and reach out if you are interested in helping with future events, activities, fundraisers etc. The progress association is run solely by volunteers and many hands make light work.
