🤣👏

Well, Scouts Queensland… looks like we need to have a little chat. 👀

The 2026 AFL Grand Final is officially Western Australia vs Queensland, with the Fremantle Dockers taking on the Brisbane Lions this Saturday! 🏆

We’re all about friendship and teamwork in Scouting, but for a few hours on Saturday, we might have to put that aside. 😄

WA is backing the purple. 💜⚓

Good luck, Queensland. You’ll need it. 😉

And when Freo gets the win, we promise not to mention it too often at Way Out West Moot: 23rd Australian Rover Scout Moot… probably. 😉

Bring the kids along this school holiday for a fun eye-spy adventure! See how many items from this list you can spot together. Afterward, you might enjoy a stroll along the Mosaic Trail that runs through the Gordonvale township footpaths.

FURTHER UPDATE: Now it’s just a game! If you live around the scout den and have CCTV, we’d love if you can check your cameras. The community would like to know who you are. This act is now just blatant disrespect!!! 😡

UPDATE: We would like to extend a massive BRAVO to the amazing gentleman who fixed our Red Bench this afternoon. You have restored our faith in humanity and showed us that respect is still alive in our community. And, a shout out to our community for all your comments & support. We appreciate everyone of you. 👏 👏 ❤️ 💚 💛

📣 PSA It is incredibly disappointing to find ourselves victims of crime yet again.

Today, we discovered that our Red Bench, installed through the dedication and hard work of one of our past youth members, has been vandalised. 😡💔

This bench was placed in our community as a space to reflect on and remember the victims of domestic violence. Damaging it serves no purpose and shows a complete lack of respect for both the community and those the bench represents.

If you know who is responsible or witnessed anything, please let us know. Tell them Gordonvale Scouts would like a word with those involved about showing respect for community property and the values we stand for.
