Gooseberry Hill Playgroup provides an ideal setting for families of young children (0-5year olds) to play and learn together. Gooseberry Hill Playgroup makes use of the indoor and outdoor facilities offered by the Kalamunda Shire's mulit-use centre including a wonderful playground (with shade sails) and sand pit and self contained kitchen. The centre is clean and well maintained and we have a larg

e range of indoor and outdoor toys and equipment and craft supplies. Trials are welcome! If you’d like to join, there is a fee of $35 a term and there’s some casual spots available too for $5 a session. There is also a PlaygroupWA fee of $35 for the calendar year (or $15 for healthcare card holders). Join us for morning tea and a play with a free trial!

Join us on Thursdays 9-11am starting from the 5th of February.
Other sessions have ceased for now. We’ll survey the community later in the year to seek interest in additional sessions and the volunteer support required to run them. Thank you for your understanding 💛

Happy New Year, families 🌞

As we get ready for the year ahead, we’d love to hear from you about which sessions you’d be interested in for 2026.

Please keep an eye out for an upcoming poll post on this page to select the session(s) you’d be interested in attending this year. Whether each session runs will depend on interest and numbers.

There have been a few changes from last year, so please see the possible session times below. From 2026, all sessions will run from 9–11am (previously session times varied).

Tuesday 9-11am
Wednesday 9-11am
Thursday 9-11am

At this stage, we have a session leader for Thursday. The Tuesday and Wednesday sessions will only be able to run if we have volunteers willing to step into the session leader role.

The session leader role is not as daunting as it sounds — it’s mainly about holding a key and opening up. Setup and pack-up are shared, and committee members are always happy to support anyone new in the role.

Tuesday has previously been known as a baby/general session, but please know that all sessions are open to children aged 0–5, and families are welcome to attend whichever day suits them best.

Yes, we know our socials need a little love and updating! 💕
But we do have some exciting news — starting Tuesday, 4th November, our Bubs (under 1’s) sessions will now run from 1:00PM – 3:00PM.

We can’t wait to see our tiniest members (and their grown-ups) in the afternoon! 👶🧸
