🎉 Congratulations to the Goondiwindi Pony Club on its successful application in Round 125 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland

With this support, the Pony Club has been able to concrete the area underneath the awning, install concrete paths around the shed in Ted’s Paddock and create an accessible pathway to the amenities.

This shared space is used by the Goondiwindi Pony Club, Goondiwindi Polocrosse, the Goondiwindi Show Society and many other large events held at the Showgrounds throughout the year.

A big thank you to Chris and his team for their quality workmanship and the exceptional finish as well as the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for this support, without this support projects like this simply wouldn't be possible.

Great to see another improvement delivered through local clubs working together, benefiting local community members and visiting competitors for many years to come. 👏👏

Local clubs: It's time to lock in your 2027 event dates. We're already receiving enquiries for new events, so we encourage you to confirm your dates as soon as possible..

Please note: 2027 caravan and camping bookings will open on 1 August 2026.

🐓 Exciting News for the Poultry Pavilion! 🐓

We are thrilled to announce that the Goondiwindi Show Society has been successful in securing funding through the Community Benefit Fund Queensland to begin the much needed upgrade of our Poultry Pavilion!

We certainly didn't waste any time! Within days of receiving the great news we rolled up our sleeves and started the demolition works. 💪

While this funding provides a fantastic start and gets us approximately 70% of the way towards completing the project, we'd love to deliver a fully refurbished Poultry Pavilion in time for our 150year celebrations.

Over the coming weeks we'll be measuring up and preparing a materials shopping list and we would love your help with this list. Every contribution towards that list, no matter how big or small, will get us one step closer to delivering a fully refurbished pavilioin.

Once the demolition is complete, we'll also be looking to paint the walls and beams. If you're handy with a paintbrush or spraygun, we'd love to hear from you.

If you've ever wanted to leave your mark on one of the Showgrounds' most cherished and iconic pavilions, now is your chance. Together, we can restore this much loved space and have it proudly welcoming exhibitors and visitors for our 150th Show celebrations and for many years to come.

There's nothing like a good before and after photo! 🌱💧

A huge thank you to the Vern Kleinschmidt Fund for supporting the installation of our new automated sprinkler system!

This one project is making a big difference, transforming the Campdraft Mound and Bar area while saving countless volunteer hours. No more moving sprinklers around or spending days watering before every event!

A big shout out also to Andrew Williams and his team for another cracking installation. 👏

Better still, it's infrastructure that benefits multiple user groups, including the Goondiwindi Show, Campdraft, Cutting Club and Pony Club.

This is what community funding is all about, creating shared facilities that everyone can enjoy.

Another quarterly working bee done and dusted!

With all hands on deck today, we didn't manage to capture everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into the working bee at the Showgrounds!

22 volunteers, representing four community clubs came together to help stay on top of maintenance and projects. We even had our youngest supporter in attendance—only a few weeks old and happily accompanying Mum & Dad at the working bee. It was a wonderful reminder that community involvement starts early, and local clubs are all about bringing generations together. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their Sunday morning. Every hour volunteered helps make the Showgrounds a better place for all the clubs, events and visitors who use them throughout the year.

The Committee are now fully recovered and working through the paperwork to finalise results for the Sub Chamber Finals, record all of the wonderful successes from the event, and even start bookings for 2027!

As part of our final clean up, we still have a few items waiting to be collected from the Show Office.

The office will be open next week from 10:00am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday or until 3:00pm today.

We currently have items belonging to the following familes:
