Volunteers Wanted at Kaloma
Do you have a little spare time and a big heart? We’d love to welcome new volunteers to our Kaloma family.
Whether you can visit once a week, once a month, or whenever it suits you, every moment spent with our residents makes a difference. You can spend as much or as little time as you’re able – it all matters.
You might:
Play cards or board games
Take a resident for a stroll through the gardens
Share a love of music
Crochet or sew together
Enjoy a chat over a cuppa
Simply offer companionship and friendship
The small moments often mean the most. Your time, kindness and presence can brighten someone’s day and enrich the lives of those who call Kaloma home.

We love birthdays! Today we celebrate Thea, have a beautiful day Thea.

Even with some additional safety precautions in place this week, the smiles and laughter continued throughout Kaloma!
While things looked a little different, our residents still enjoyed a wonderful range of activities within their individual wings. From bingo, clay work, puzzles and painting, to meaningful one-on-one chats, there was plenty happening to keep minds active and spirits high. Wednesday Walk group had plenty of cheeky State Of Origin banter!
Residents also enjoyed a delicious BBQ in Warrigal, spent time with our much-loved therapy dolls and shared many special moments together throughout the week.
A big thank you to our staff who continue to bring creativity, connection and joy to each day. It’s these moments—big and small—that make Kaloma such a special place. ✨
