Our Club’s 31st Birthday celebration was a night to remember! We were honoured by the presence of a strong contingent of our VIEW leaders as well as an excellent roll up of members. The Birthday cake was cut by long serving members Betty B. and Fleur M. and we received inspiring comments from National Vice President Angie C. Our Treasurer, Tracey G., reported exceptional fundraising figures for the year so far and multiple raffle prizes including the donated Bluey’s Photography photo were drawn during the evening. The music by Rosie’s Karaoke brought a rush to the dance floor proving “Girls just wanna have fun!” A variety of volunteer singers happily showed off their vocal talents and a great night was had by all! We have a lot to celebrate in sponsoring our 16 disadvantaged children and making so many friendships.

It takes a Village! Caloundra Evening VIEW Club funds were given an amazing boost following a fundraising Dinner at The Halcyon Over 50’s Village at Nirimba, Caloundra. Club member and resident, Fleur M. organised a Pot Luck International Dinner for one hundred guests. The Village cohort happily cooked and served delicious meals, waited tables and manned the bar. A large number of exciting raffles prizes also drew great support. Approx 25 VIEW Club supporters attended and Janette C. explained the work of VIEW to a very receptive audience. An astonishing $5,325.00 was raised on the night which will directly benefit the disadvantaged students we sponsor. Great work Fleur!
