Here’s a positive community news story for you.

Stacey messaged me to suggest a little library in Golden Bay. Council told us we couldn’t put one on public land due to maintenance issues, but all good for private land.

So the Mandurah Men’s Shed (with some support from the GBay PROG Assoc) created this beautiful Little Library which you can see at Bru’s Cafe. Take a book, leave a book, read, love, share!

Two more Little Libraries designed for outdoor locations are now in the making. Watch this space!! Community team work at its best!

Hey everyone it’s already June and as a community we come together for the GBPA Meeting, 7pm this Thursday 4 June at the Golden Bay Coastal Community Centre. We have so much to talk about. Your voice and your ideas make a difference to your community. And our local councillors are there to help. All welcome. Hope to see you there.

So lovely seeing seedlings planted in the Golden Bay dunes over the last few years doing so well.

This year we need everyone to help plant 850 seedlings. Bring the whole family for a wonderful time together!

Check out the fluffy tails on these phascogales, caught on camera in Paganoni Reserve recently (not seen on camera since Oct 2024) It is coming up to mating season. May meeting 7pm Thursday 7 May at the Coastal Community Centre. All welcome!

We had a win recently with the City agreeing to our request for a sign at the entrance of Crystaluna Dr. Not sure when it will be installed but we will be watching! 👀 We are only a small group of volunteers but we try our best for Golden Bay.

Keep the morning of Sat 20 June free for the annual dune planting. A positive, therapeutic exercise for all ages!!
