We are incredibly lucky here at Giving Back QLD to have mentors like world champion Jai Opetaia in our corner.

Jai is a passionate advocate for what we do — and when his busy schedule allows, he gives up his time to train alongside our kids and speak with them about chasing their dreams and overcoming the hurdles life throws their way. As he says himself, nobody is perfect — but with guidance, discipline and hard work, anything is possible for anyone.

At Giving Back QLD, we believe one moment with the right role model can change the entire direction of a young person’s life. That’s why we run fitness and mentorship workshops for at-risk youth right here on the Gold Coast — backed by champions, built on belief.

Our Fastlane Fundraiser workout was an absolute success - big smiles, big lifts, and even bigger hearts!

Every burpee, squat, and bead of sweat went toward making a real difference.

Real champions lifting up the next generation.

Highlights of Giving Back QLD led by Mark Mathie, delivering another powerful Youth Mentoring Workshop.

The young legends who joined us today hit the gym floor alongside our ambassadors & World Champs - JAI OPETAIA & JAMES HONEY learning discipline, teamwork, and belief through perseverance and fitness. Once training wrapped up, the champs shared their personal journeys, setbacks, and comebacks, giving the group real perspective and tools to carve out positive pathways in life.

This is mentorship in action.
