Congratulations to the Gold Coast's newest OAM recipient!

On Monday, our president and founder Ross Lee of was recognised with the Order of Australia Medal for his long career of community service.

Ross founded MCL back in 2014 with help from our friends at the and has worked tirelessly to grow our pro bono publico legal services since then. It is gratifying to see such recognition of his important contributions.

Thank you for all that you do, Ross! You are an inspiration to many in our Gold Coast community.

Please welcome Mia Ollett and Angie Balk to the Volunteer Relations team 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼

Mia Ollett, our new Head of Volunteer Relations, is a 3rd year law student at Southern Cross University. She will be leading our Volunteer Relations team, with a specific focus on practitioner relations.

Angie Balk is a final year law and business student at Bond University. As part of our Volunteer Relations team, Angie will be managing our student relations here at MCL.

On Saturday the 23rd of May at 2:30PM, the MCL community will be coming together at Burleigh Bowls Club to play some lawn bowls to celebrate the hard work of our volunteer students and practitioners.

The first 15 people to join are free, and additional entry will cost $10. Please RSVP via the Outlook invite to secure your spot! Only 6 spots left ⏳

Congratulations Jany’ah Kirk from our Southport office and Nadia Musa from our Robina office as our Student Volunteers of the Month for April! 🌟

Throughout their time with us, Jany’ah and Nadia have been indispensable members of our MCL team.

When asked what she has learned while at MCL,
Jany’ah said:

“I’ve learned the importance of critical thinking and adopting your approach to fit each client’s unique circumstances. Personally, I’ve gained confidence in stepping outside my comfort zone.”
