Good afternoon everyone! We wanted to share this survey with you all about beach safety awareness after our project with Griffith Uni Public Health 🌊🌊🟡🔴.

If you have the time to fill it out, it would be greatly appreciated to organise our future events. Hope everyone has a great rest oft the week 🤙🤙.

Hey team!

Free social training will start back up next Thursday morning, 7am outside Southport surf club. Trainings will follow a rough plan of stretching, a beach run/jog, a swim (depending on how cold it is) and then we’ll leave it up to the you if there’s anything specific you want to learn or practice (e.g. how to do a tube swim, how to spot a rip, tips and tricks on any area of SLS, general questions) This week we will be learning the flags event (super fun).

Some of us also go grab breakfast after training so you’re more than welcome to come to that, even if you don’t train before hand!

Hello everyone! We have a questionnaire by a fellow member about beach safety 🌊🟡🔴. Fill it in to help out. Hope you all have a great afternoon!

As part of our Health Promotion Community Engagement subject we need to gather some data to understand your knowledge on beach safety. Did you know that 128 people drowned on Australian beaches over a 12 month period last year?! This is an exciting opportunity to help with data collection, and is super quick to complete! It is anonymous however you can add your email if you are interested in being involved in learning more about our exciting education sessions. Links and QR code below. Thank you in advance!

How confident do you feel in the water? Are you aware that there are things you can do to minimise your risks of swimming. We are collecting information to help us improve peoples ability to identify dangers when entering Australian beaches.

Welcome to Week 2! We have plenty happening this week everyone 🤩✌.

Our first training session starts tomorrow morning from 7am! We'll be at Southport Surf Lifesaving club and will do a run and swim session 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🌊. React to this post if you're making it 👍.

On Wednesday is our Sign On Day too. We'd love to see all your friendly faces on the day. Sign up to our club for free in 2021!!
Our colourful stall will be up 10am-3pm on the Griffith Uni Library Lawn 🟡🔴!

Welcome to O-Week Everyone!! Exciting things coming up for our new committee and the start to Trimester 1 🌊😎🤩.

We won't be at the O-Week stalls today unfortunately due to registrations being capped. But we will have a big stall at CLUB SIGN ON DAY in Week 2 👌👌. We hope to see you all there for a big day.
