Agenda Items Discussed
- Teej Event Planning
Discussed preparations and planning for the upcoming Teej celebration. Reviewed venue, cultural programs, volunteer coordination, and promotional activities.
- Nepali Pathshala
Discussed the progress and future direction of the Nepali Pathshala. Emphasized the importance of preserving Nepali language and culture among younger generations.

- Parents' Meeting Preparation
Planned an upcoming parents' meeting to discuss educational activities, expectations, and community engagement.
Agreed to communicate the meeting details to parents in advance.
Study and Cultural Learning Plan

- Tutors were requested to develop a structured study plan and cultural learning framework for students.
The plan will include language learning, cultural education, and age-appropriate activities.

- NCGC Website Development
Discussed the need for an improved NCGC website.
Focused on making information easier and quicker for community members to find.
Considered updating content, navigation, and community resources.

- Football Tournament Feasibility Study
Discussed conducting a feasibility study for organizing an NCGC Football Tournament.
Considerations include venue availability, participant interest, sponsorship opportunities, and budgeting.

- Welcoming New Volunteers
Welcomed new volunteers joining NCGC.
Discussed volunteer roles, responsibilities, and opportunities for community involvement.

Meeting Outcomes

-Continued planning for the Teej Event.
-Tutors to prepare and present a study and cultural learning plan.
-Parents' meeting to be scheduled and communicated.
-Website improvement options to be explored.
-Feasibility assessment for an NCGC Football Tournament to be undertaken.
-New volunteers officially welcomed and encouraged to participate in community activities.

This is a collective initiative of :

Queensland Nepalese Runners Group Inc. (QNRG) and
Nepalese Community Gold Coast Inc. (NCGC)
to recognise, encourage, and celebrate all members of our community participating in the Gold Coast Marathon 2026.

A special felicitation and networking program is being planned for 4 July 2026 to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of our runners.

We invite all Nepali community members from across Queensland who are participating in any Gold Coast Marathon event to register their interest.
Which will also be Joined by, London Marathon Nepalese Runners, and 14 runners All the way from Sydney.
