🎄 Help Make the APRDA Christmas Raffle a Success! 🎄

We are calling on our wonderful volunteers, participants, families, and local businesses to help support this year’s APRDA Christmas Raffle.

We are seeking donations of prizes, gifts, vouchers, products, or services to help us create an exciting raffle and bring some extra Christmas cheer to our community.

Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. Your support will help make this year’s raffle a memorable event for everyone involved.

Donations can be dropped off at the centre Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm, or please phone reception on 5594 0305 to arrange a suitable time.

🌭👑 A huge thank you to our amazing Sausage Sizzle Kings & Queens for rocking up once again at Bunnings Warehouse Australia - ARUNDEL last Sunday and spending the full day behind the hot BBQ to raise much-needed funds for our Centre!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who volunteered their time, cooked, served and supported the day. Your continued dedication makes such a difference to our Centre and our wonderful herd. 🐴💚

Last week, our APRDA community came together for a special evening of remembrance. 🤍

David and Sophia from Dreamtime Artistry opened the evening with a beautiful performance. We then heard from grief counsellor Dr Kathryn James from Veterinary Vitality counselling and wellbeing and our wonderful vet, Dr Rhian Partridge from Gold Coast Equine Clinic Clinic. To close, Storm and Sarah Honeywell Dressage gave a lovely dressage demonstration under the lights to Angels by Robbie Williams.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible. A special thank you to our local Councillor, Cr Shelley Curtis , for joining us and for always being there to support our Centre. 🤍

🐴 $79,200 for the future of our herd 💚

We are incredibly grateful to share that APRDA has received a $79,200 grant from the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation supporting the welfare and long-term sustainability of our beautiful herd. This means $26,200 for our centre each year for the next 3 years.

This funding means more to our little community than we can possibly put into words.

Our horses are at the heart of everything we do, and this year has reminded us just how precious they are. We’ve experienced some incredibly difficult losses, alongside the significant and often unexpected costs that come with providing our horses with the very best care.

This grant gives us something we have desperately needed: the ability to look forward.

It will help us strengthen and renew our herd, responsibly introduce new horses, and give our existing horses greater opportunity to rest, rotate and step back when they need to - ensuring their welfare always comes first.

Most importantly, it helps us build a sustainable herd for the future, so our horses can continue doing what they do best while enjoying happy, healthy and well-supported lives themselves.

To the James Frizelle Charitable Foundation - thank you for believing in APRDA, our horses and our community. Your generosity has come at a time when it means more than you could know.
