🏆❤️💛 GOLD COAST MOST IMPROVED YOUTH CLUB OF THE YEAR 💛❤️🏆

We are incredibly proud to announce that Coolangatta SLSC has been named the Gold Coast Most Improved Youth Club of the Year!

This award is a testament to the amazing efforts of our youth members, youth leaders, volunteers, and mentors who have helped build a strong and engaged youth culture within our club.

A major focus this season has been giving our youth a voice through our Youth Working Group, ensuring we are delivering the activities, opportunities, and experiences they want to be part of. By listening to and empowering our young members, we've seen fantastic growth in youth engagement across the club.

Planning for next season is already well underway, and we're excited for what's to come!

National Reconciliation Week 2026 ❤️💛🖤

From 27 May to 3 June, we recognise Reconciliation Australia’s National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and to reflect on how we can contribute to reconciliation in our everyday lives.

This year’s theme, “All In”, is a call for everyone to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation and meaningful action, because reconciliation is not a spectator sport.

At Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land and sea on which we live, work and patrol, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

As a club built on community, respect and looking after one another, we stand together in the spirit of reconciliation, learning from the past while working toward a more united future for all Australians.

Week after week, our volunteers give their time, energy and passion to create a safe, fun and supportive environment for our Nippers and families. The program simply couldn’t run without you.

From our Age Managers, Officials, Water Safety crew and BBQ legends, to the helpers behind the scenes setting up, packing down, cheering on and lending a hand wherever needed — thank you.

Today we celebrate all the incredible mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures in our community 💛❤️

Thank you for everything you do, the early mornings, the endless support, the lifts to training, the hours spent volunteering, and the quiet encouragement behind the scenes. Our club simply wouldn’t be the same without you.

Whether you’re on patrol, cheering from the sidelines, helping at Nippers, or supporting in your own way, today is a chance to recognise and appreciate you.
