Exciting news! Young Onset Connect is starting on the Gold Coast.
Young Onset Connect is run by the Young Onset Dementia Network, working alongside Gold Coast Dementia Community to build connections, provide support and raise awareness for people living with younger onset dementia and their carers/ loved ones. The group is supported by Cr Glenn Tozer and the Lions Club of Mudgeeraba.
It’s a welcoming, supportive space for people impacted by younger onset dementia to connect, share experiences and learn about the condition, the NDIS and other supports, while finding ways to navigate the journey together.
Younger onset dementia is any form of dementia diagnosed before the age of 65. It’s sometimes called early onset dementia. Having access to understanding, information and support can make a real difference.
The group meets fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm, starting 20th October. Please see the attached flyer for venue details.
