Join Aunty Sharron in a free online song and dance as part of Children's Week Celebrations!

Together, we will respectfully acknowledge the Sovereign Custodians, Elders and Country before we begin a fun-filled, interactive song and dance presentation and concert for all ages, celebrating chidlren's right to culture, language and religion!

It's the last day of playgroup play for Term 3!

Many of our regular playgroups and services take a break over the school holiday period, with play resuming on Tuesday 6 October.

Some school holiday playgroups continue and some pop-up events occur - be sure to check our postcode finder on the website for play happening near you!

Play is officially on the agenda this week — and we need you to help make it count! 💛

Every time you join a Play Matters playgroup session this week you are helping us capture a snapshot of what play looks like - how many families and children are enjoying play and connection! No personal details, just simple attendance numbers that show how powerful community play really is.

When you attend playgroup this week, our wonderful facilitators will be taking note of how many adults and children are present at each session and reporting it back to us, to help paint a national picture of what playgroup looks like! It's an opportunity for us to connect with our wonderful facilitator community and for them to be able to tell us how playgroup is going.

Happy Father's/ Father Figures / Loved Ones Day

Today we celebrate the incredible role that fathers, father figures, and loved ones play in the lives of children.

We also acknowledge that Father's Day can bring a mix of emotions. For some, today may be a source of grief or sadness, and we remember those who may no longer be here with us to celebrate.

Every family is unique and that families come in all shapes and sizes, what is universal to families is love, care, connection and community.

However, you choose to celebrate today, playgroups can be a valuable source of connection, support, and belonging for all family members. They provide opportunities to share the joys and challenges of parenting and build your village.

For dads and father figures looking to connect with others, Play Matters Australia offers welcoming spaces to share experiences, learn from one another, and enjoy quality time with your children.

Free Webinar: Protecting Children is Everybody's Business

Join us for our Queensland Protection Week Lunch & Learn, Protecting Children is Everybody's Business featuring Sarah Lim from BBSafe. This session will cover:
