Legacy Youth Camp 2026 💙

Day1

What a wonderful experience for our Legacy youth!

Organised by Ipswich Legacy, this year’s Youth Camp brought together young people from Ipswich, Toowoomba and Gold Coast Legacy for a few special days of fun, friendship and connection.

Coming together with others who share similar experiences gives our young people the opportunity to connect, support one another, overcome challenges together and, most importantly, create some wonderful memories along the way.

From outdoor adventures and activities to plenty of laughter and time spent together, the camp was a great opportunity to strengthen friendships and build new ones across our three Legacy communities.

A heartfelt thank you to Ipswich Legacy for organising the camp, and to everyone from Ipswich, Toowoomba and Gold Coast Legacy who helped make this experience possible.

We hope our young people came home with new friendships, greater confidence and plenty of happy memories to carry with them. 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Gold Coast Legacy during Legacy Week 2026. 💙

Whether you made a donation, purchased Legacy merchandise, volunteered your time, or simply stopped by to show your support, every contribution helps us continue supporting local veteran families.

Your generosity helps Gold Coast Legacy provide ongoing support, including education bursaries for children, social programs for widows, financial assistance, and medical alert devices for those who need them.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, supporters, members of the Australian Defence Force, and the local community for coming together during Legacy Week.

“Never Forgotten” Vol 2 is here!

We’re thrilled to share that "Never Forgotten: Honouring Our Veterans" by Vietnam veteran Dave Morgan is now available.

This incredible book is a compelling collection of short, easy-to-read stories capturing the lived experiences of Australia’s veterans across all three Defence Force services, conflicts and generations.

Dave is generously donating all proceeds to Legacy Australia to support families of veterans. Every book sold helps us provide financial aid, emotional support, and social activities for the Legacy beneficiaries we care for.

A huge thank you to Nerang RSL for their generous Community Donation! 💙

Our Legatee Pike proudly attended the cheque presentation on behalf of Gold Coast Legacy to receive this wonderful support.

Thanks to this donation, we have:
💻 Replaced our boardroom computer after more than 8 years of service.
📱 Purchased a new iPad to support our financial assistance application process.

These technology upgrades will help us reduce paper usage, become more environmentally friendly, improve efficiency, and ultimately provide better support to the families we serve.

🌿 Exciting changes are happening at Gold Coast Legacy! 🇦🇺

We've officially started transforming our back garden into a beautiful Memorial Garden to honour our veterans.

What was once an area overgrown with weeds has now been cleared, fresh new turf has been laid, and we've even planted a new lime tree 🍋🌱. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to watch the garden grow into a peaceful place for remembrance, reflection, and connection.

Stay tuned as we continue bringing this special project to life!
