A big thank you to Nicki and Karen at Gloucester Betta Home & Flooring! 🚁❤️

After too many years to count, of selling tickets to our Dinner Auctions and Trivia Nights in their store, and they're still putting up with us! 😄

They've not only let us sell tickets, they've even donated items. Every ticket helps raise vital funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, providing life-saving care to our community. Today, Annette Watson (Volunteer Coordinator, WRHS), our President Kevin Arney and Event Coordinator Lorraine Groves popped in to say thanks in person, with a photo of one of the helicopters used throughout the Hunter. 📸

Nicki will deny it, but we have it on good authority that a tear was shed. 😢🤣

Thank you both for everything you do! 👏

Because of YOU, We’re $11,000 Closer to Saving Lives

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has been selected as a recipient of Regional Australia Bank’s Community Partnership Program, receiving just over $11,000.

This generous contribution will directly support our ability to continue delivering critical aeromedical services to our community and the wider Hunter region.

We extend our sincere thanks to Regional Australia Bank for their continued support of our mission.

Most importantly, we want to thank our local community. It was your nomination that made this possible, and it’s your ongoing generosity that allows us to keep this life-saving service free for everyone who needs it.

Thank you for standing behind us — we couldn’t do this without you. 💙

🚁❤️ Proud moment for IAS Gloucester!

Last Thursday, 13 August 2026, I had the privilege of attending an event where IAS Gloucester made a generous donation to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service — funds raised through fundraisers the IAS clients have run over the last 12 months! 🙌

IAS Gloucester assists people with disabilities to deliver excellent services that foster independence, realise potential, and support healthy, active, and contributing lives within our community. Supporting a service that does the same for the wider region felt like a natural extension of that mission. 💙

So on behalf of both Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Gloucester Volunteer Support Group, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to ALL our clients (and staff) for helping keep the helicopters operating! ✈️

💙 A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Gloucester! Last Tuesday night, Di Relf accepted a donation on behalf of the Gloucester Volunteer Support Group at their changeover dinner. Every dollar raised helps keep the Westpac Rescue Helicopter operating across NSW — because when seconds count, our community shows up. 🚁

We also want to give a special shoutout to our very own Secretary/Treasurer, Jo Fitzpatrick, who has accepted the position of President of the Rotary Club of Gloucester for 2026-27. 🎉

Rotary has been our longest and most loyal supporter, and with Jo at the helm, we look forward to an even stronger partnership in the years ahead. Congratulations, Jo — we couldn’t be prouder! 💙

Last night, over 100 people gathered at the Gloucester Bowling Club for a night of fun and laughter at the annual Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service – Gloucester Support Group St Patrick’s Day Trivia.

With rounds featuring words that were hard to pronounce and questions repeated across different topics, the night certainly kept everyone on their toes! With prize money on the line, the atmosphere was full of fun, laughter and great friendship.

At the end of the night, the winning team took the title by just 5 points. Showing true community spirit, they generously donated their prize money back to the group.

Our mystery item was also auctioned during the evening, with the winning bid reaching an incredible $300.00.

With the auction, fines, buy a hint, raffle and a donation from the Gloucester Community Op Shop, the night raised $6701.50…….this far exceeds our expectations.

A fantastic night supporting a wonderful service and bringing the community together.
