Some of the themes that the group will cover are culture, identity, mental health, community and other relevant topics raised by participants through our monthly meetings.

Bebot Barkada highlights at .syd
• Aktibo Run Club- We finished right before the rain arrived 😁 then treated ourselves to the complimentary spicy but soothing salabat drinks🥤
• Food & drinks: aka the “we’re just here for the snacks” agenda (confirmed successful)
• Music + Kwentuhan: DJs & Mason Kimber keeping the vibes vibin’, plus karaoke and lots of chit chats
• Reading corner 📚: books about Filipino culture and the Philippines 🇵🇭 for the curious minds 🧐
• Cultural + creative pop-ups upstairs:
Aktibo Run Club, On Sundays We Play, Magenta House Shop, ANTHILL, Bottomfeeder, Ate Louise Paints Faces, Tropical Features Institute and so much more!
• Familiar faces + new friends: the best kind of “catch-up”

Overall, it was such a nourishing, enriching day—with big good vibes, community warmth, amazing talent, and enough food/drinks to properly keep our bellies happy. All to celebrate our Filipino culture in the diaspora.

Thank you .redfern and all the volunteers for putting this on-we had so much fun! 🤩

Hello everyone! We hope your Easter long weekend was full of good vibes, good rest, and maybe a little too much chocolate 🍫 🐣

On Saturday, we caught up with our friends at .syd and powered up with a delicious Filipino brekkie and drinks. The ube toastie and ube iced latte were the real stars of the show 🌟👌🏾

We’d love to have you join us for future adventures with our little walking group — think strolls, day trips, and a good excuse to get out and about in good company. If you’d like to join in or stay updated, send us a DM 📥

What a fantastic morning! 🌞 Our very first Bayanihan Walking Group kicked off today at the beautiful Nepean River — and what a meaningful start it was!

This wasn’t just any walk — it was our Bonifacio Day Walk, commemorating Andrés Bonifacio, one of the Philippines’ national heroes 🇵🇭. Every 30 November, Filipinos celebrate his birth — honouring Bonifacio, the Father of the Philippine Revolution, whose bravery and leadership ignited the nation’s fight for freedom.

We strolled a breezy 6.5 km surrounded by good vibes, familiar smiles, and some lovely new faces. Halfway through, we recharged with a quick stop at Emu Hall for some well-earned drinks, then wrapped it up with a delicious bite at The Coffee Club Nepean River 🍽️☕

We’re planning to make this a monthly tradition, so if you’d love to join our next walk in February (date TBC), send us a DM! We’ll add you to our WhatsApp and FB Messenger groups so you can stay in the loop.

Got a great walking spot in mind? Drop your suggestions below — we’d love to explore new trails together!

Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season and can’t wait to walk into the new year with you all! ❤️👟
