Join guided bird walks, expert speakers & nature activities for the whole community. The Capertee Valley Bird Festival will have a program for birders and a program to engage the general community. The festival is a collaboration by Glen Alice Community Association, Glen Davis Community Association, and Birdlife Southern NSW.

Glen Alice Church proved to be a delightfully charming venue for our kids' activities during the festival weekend, where BirdLife volunteers led engaging activities like Flight and Feathers and the Magpie Walk, along with craft activities such as making paper kites to test their flight.

The Songlark Studio workshop in Glen Davis received fantastic feedback from the lucky attendees. Joyful results from the eco-dye workshop at the . White box, kurrajong and ironbark leaves along with brown onion skins layered in cotton fabric, pressed between tiles and boiled in wattle bark dye.

Bird counts from some of the Festival's 2 hour morning walks on private properties from in the north of the valley - 38 species, to the west of the valley - 55 species, the east of the valley - 38 species. In Capertee National Park along the river- 41 species. Two more fabulous bird walks to go!
