Spinnaker parkrun A free, friendly, weekly 5km community event held every Saturday at 7:00am at Spinnaker Park, Gladstone. http://www.parkrun.com.au/spinnaker

Walk, jog, run, volunteer or simply come along to cheer, everyone is welcome! Spinnaker parkrun is a FREE, weekly, timed 5km run or walk for anyone, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am sharp in Spinnaker Park, Gladstone, Queensland, Australia. You must register before the event on the parkrun website to get your time, however you only have to register the once. Make sure you print out and b

ring your barcode with you (no barcode no time). parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to walk, jog, or run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all, it really is FREE! Children and dogs are very welcome to participate however must be supervised at all times.

29 August 2026 – Event 5: This week 180 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 48 were first timers and 56 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

Our friends at Milepost have Lap the Valley coming up soon, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to get out, get active and support another event in our local running community.

Ever wondered what a backyard ultra is all about? Lap the Valley is the perfect chance to experience the format for yourself, whether you’re there for a few laps or something more!

Even better, entry is FREE for anyone under 17! 🙌
