After a recent discussion by some of the warbirds pilots at our event a few weeks ago. We have locked in a fun flying date with the Rockhampton and Yeppoon members coming for a fly with us at our field on the 21st June (Sunday morning). So club members a friendly reminder that club fees//insurance etc is shortly due and to dust off some models that haven't been flown for a while. Let's see what unique model planes we have there on the day. Almost like the old days when we had the tri city challenge with Bilo Rocky and Gladstone all joining together for a great day's flying 49+ years ago. Also other MAAA clubs are more then welcome to attend.

PART 1

The Southern Cross Airforce (SCAF) Warbirds weekend is done and dusted for another year. We would like to thank everyone who travelled for the event and any of our local members who attended throughout the weekend.

We would also like to thank our club members for their hard work prepping the field and getting everything setup and organised for our guests and spectators.

With the wildlife keeping a close eye on what was going on at the field over the weekend, we can happily say that there were no injuries sustained and the weekend was a success.

Some of the planes on show at the Southern Cross Airforce Warbirds RC Fly-In this weekend at our field on Mylrae Road, Aldoga (dirt road). Drive all the way down the road until you get to the gate and drive through it (please make sure the gate is shut after entering and exiting). If you have nothing to do over the weekend, why not come out for a look. Bring a chair, drinks and something to nibble on.

Flying starts from around 9am and goes until late afternoon.
