Friday 19 June 2026. Trilogy
No, not "The Godfather" or "Back To The Future" but 15 Bike North riders thoroughly enjoying themselves on this coolish and windy Winter's Day. Roger led and Chris sweeped to get us to the coffee break at Bar Italia (yes, OK then, a Godfather connection!) and back home in what felt like a slightly quicker ride: it must have been the cold weather and tailwinds!

Tuesday 16 June2026. Bobbin Head to Berowra Ferry Return
A brilliant day for a bike ride. A crisp morning became even crisper as the riders descended into Bobbin Head but they ascended into clear blue skies. Berowra Waters was shrouded in mist but they couldn’t stop to admire the serenity as they had a coffee stop to get to at the top of the hill.
One rider demonstrating that it's good to be green.

Sunday 14 June 2026. Three Gorges
The 3G ride led by Chris Wong was well-attended. The crew flattened the three hill climbs, had coffee and cakes at Brooklyn and finished the ride contented and proud of their feat. Special mention to David Cheung: it was his maiden ride to Galston, Berowra and Brooklyn. He levelled those hills

Elizabeth Farm, Parramatta
A small group of Bike North members joined another of Wendy Jannings' history escapades today by cycling up the PVC to historic Elizabeth Farm.
With no need to 'count kms', the group took a leisurely tour of the beautiful house and gardens.
Sometimes it is just nice to stop and smell the roses!!

Elizabeth Farm is Australia’s oldest surviving homestead

A restful homestead with a restless history. Dharug dispossession. Convict rebellion. The toppling of governors. Family turmoil. Built in 1793 for the young military couple John and Elizabeth Macarthur and their growing family, Elizabeth Farm today is an ‘access all areas’ museum. There are no barriers, locked doors or delicate furnishings. Set within a re-created 1830s garden, Australia’s oldest homestead is now our most immersive house museum.

Bike North's very own history buff, Wendy Jannings, will be leading a ride to Elizabeth Farm this coming Friday, 12 June. Register at www.bikenorth.org.au/calendar .

Braving a very cold start from Hornsby in multi layers, keen riders headed off to Pie in the Sky, a fist time experience for some. Andrew kept the pace manageable and all returned safe and sound but only marginally warmer! Winter approaches but cycling is still on the agenda at Bike North!
