πŸ“£ We're looking for volunteers!

The Gisborne Foodbank has two exciting volunteer positions available from October, and we'd love to hear from you.

1. Treasurer
Help us keep our finances in order. No accounting qualifications needed, just a love of numbers and a little bit of your time. This role is approximately 2 hours per week with a committee meeting every 2 months. The role can be done remotely.

2. Marketing Manager
Got a knack for social media? This role involves managing our website, social media and yearly fundraising drive. Basic knowledge of Squarespace, Facebook and Canva is all you need. Approximately 1–2 hours per week with a committee meeting every 2 months. This role can also be done remotely.

Both roles are a wonderful way to give back to your local community, and can be done around work or family commitments.

Interested or want to know more? Send us a DM or email us directly. We'd love to hear from you!

A massive shoutout to the Year 8 students at

These incredible young people have been putting their cooking skills to great use, preparing home cooked meals for families supported by the Gisborne Foodbank. It is a wonderfully thoughtful and generous effort. We are so grateful for your time, your energy and your kind hearts.

Thank you also to Frank and Country Gourmet Butcher in Gisborne for donating the meat for the meals.

Pictured here are the students with Jen, our Operations Manager and Wally, our local schools liaison ❀

A huge thank you to Bungeeltap Pastoral for their generous donation of beautiful locally grown lamb from their Macedon Ranges farm at Bolobek.

Fresh, quality produce like this makes such a difference to the families we support, and we are so grateful for the generosity of local producers in our community.

Thank you to the Freemasons Foundation Victoria!

On 13th August, our President Tony attended a presentation at Gisborne Lodge No. 298, and what an evening it turned out to be.

Gisborne Lodge, assisted by Trentham Lodge, had raised $3,900 for the Foodbank and secured a further $10,000 grant from the Freemasons Foundation Victoria on our behalf. But the night had one more surprise in store with the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria, M.W.Bro. Peter Henshall, pledged an additional $6,100, bringing the total donation to an incredible $20,000.

We are deeply grateful to everyone involved. This is genuinely life changing support for our community.

The Freemasons Foundation Victoria is the charitable arm of Victorian Freemasonry, with a long and proud history of giving back to the community. Their objective is to build a stronger and healthier Victoria by supporting organisations engaged in health and medical research, disaster and emergency relief, social justice, Indigenous programs and education.

We'd like to thank .sothebysrealty for their generious support.

On 31st July, Melbourne Sotheby's International Realty hosted their inaugural 'Macedon Ranges After Dark' event at the stunning Mt. Towrong Vineyard and the Gisborne Community Care Foodbank was proud to be the chosen cause for this event.

The event raised over $1,400 for our foodbank, and has even sparked interest from potential new volunteers in the area πŸ™Œ

Pictured is our President Tony with Sean Parker (left) and Sam Johnson (right) from Melbourne Sotheby's International Realty. Thank you to everyone who attended and gave so generously.

This is the first in a year long series of events supporting local causes ❀️

If you're heading out this weekend, why not grab an extra pantry item or two and drop it at one of the Gisborne Foodbank drop locations? It takes just a moment at the checkout but makes a world of difference to someone in our local community.
