Keeping you in the loop 📣

We asked how you'd like to hear from us, and 98% of you keep up with the Hub through Facebook, so that's where we'll keep sharing news.

Most of you also told us once a month is the sweet spot for updates. It's often enough to stay in the loop but not so often it's overkill.

So we are going to aim for a monthly wrap-up from us here, with the bigger news like grant outcomes and activities posted as they happen.

Cooking & kitchen results 👩‍🍳

Time to dust off the aprons! 🍳 Your feedback on our proposed kitchen upgrade was some of the most popular in the whole survey — 64% of you would use an upgraded kitchen for cooking classes, and just as many for community dinners and shared meals.

Top of the wish list for class types: international cuisine, baking & cake decorating, bread making and everyday family meal prep.

Looks like there's a real appetite 🤣🤣 for bringing people together over food at the Hub.

Pilates & Cardio equipment grant 💪🤸‍♀

Gym and cardio equipment was one of the main themes in the survey — 67% of you named reformer/pilates machines as a top priority, and 85% said you'd attend a Pilates class with online instructors.

We've taken that feedback and submitted a grant application for reformer Pilates and Cardio equipment at the Hub!

Fingers crossed 🤞 we'll keep you posted on how it goes. Thank you to everyone who took the time to tell us what would actually get you into the gym.

The results are rolling in and a big thank you we have had 41 responses so far and so close to our goal of 50. 🙏

What you've told us is already shaping some exciting plans for the Hub.

A few early highlights: 74% of you said you'd be willing to lend a hand at the Hub in some way, quiz nights, markets and seasonal celebrations topped your wish list for events, and Facebook is the best way for us to reach you with hub news.

🧸 PLAY @ THE HUB — WE’RE OFF TO A GREAT START!

Plans for our new Playgroup are coming together, with more families getting involved and some lovely donations already arriving. 😊

We’re now starting to set up the space and would love some help from the wider community. If you have any new or gently used toys, children’s books, small furniture, craft supplies or other suitable items that could find a new home at Play @ The Hub, please have a look at our wish list below.

Every donation and helping hand gets us a little closer to creating a welcoming place for our youngest community members and their families to play, connect and make friends. 💚

PLAY @ THE HUB — COMING SOON! 🧸

We’re starting from scratch and are currently in our “Plan to Play” phase!

Each Thursday morning, families are getting together at the Hub to help create a fun and welcoming play space for local families.

We’d love your help to set up the activity room, share ideas, seek community donations and bring Play @ The Hub to life.

Our official Playgroup sessions will begin later this year and continue on Thursday mornings once the space is ready.

Whether you have little ones who would love a place to play, something to donate, or simply want to help us get started, we’d love to hear from you.
