Cubs went on our annual winter solstice (close enough🙂) hike along the banks of the Chapman River tonight. Loaded with glow sticks and snacks we searched for frogs and owls, though I'm sure we would have seen more had we been able to be quieter 🤔🤭

Droppy Bear attended her first cub camp last weekend.
She quickly became the MVP, quietly mastering the art of being useful by doing absolutely nothing except giving out hugs where needed! 🧸⚜️🔥⛺️

This weekend we gave our youth another Scout camping experience. We were lucky enough to witness some upskilling, team building, and resilience in action this weekend. From mastering new outdoor skills to working through challenges as a unit and some new leadership skills, they did themselves proud! Well done Cubs!👏⚜️🔥

Shout out to our Leaders for National Volunteer Week!
Brumby (Tasch), Kaa (Michael) Akela (Karen) and Smudge (Eric) - all here in the photo - plus Mutley (Beven) and Mrs Skoogs (Tanya). Together they bring over 110 years of Scouting experience to our Scout Group. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering a fun and adventurous outdoor program for our youth members is truly appreciated. Thank you for everything you do for Scouting and our community!

What better way to learn about camping gear than going straight to the source!
Cubs, Joeys and Venturers popped down to the new Anaconda Stores Geraldton and learned from the experts Skyler and Mia on everything sleeping bags, inflatable mattresses, chairs head torches and tents.
Conveniently the new KFC store is right next door so go-buckets and frozen drinks were a great treat to refuel.

Jamboree on Pedals 2026.
Not 42⁰ like it was last year, it was a perfect sunny autumn day. Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers learnt some valuable skills thanks to Spokes cycling club then had a fun afternoon riding their bikes.
