🥊 First Day Back — Junior Boxing Going Strong!

Awesome first day back with our Junior Boxing crew! The kids brought plenty of energy and gave everything a go.

A big thanks to coach and fighter Mighty Mohammed and Coach Nektarios for helping run the session, keeping everyone moving and making it a great afternoon. 💪🥊

Great to see the juniors back in the gym, building their fitness, confidence, skills and teamwork while having plenty of fun along the way.

Great start — looking forward to another strong term of Junior Boxing! 🥊

🌭 SafeSpace Drop-In Tuesday 🌭

Another great Tuesday afternoon with SafeSpace at Mount Tarcoola Oval!

We fired up the BBQ with plenty of sausages and had heaps of kids dropping in to join the fun. It was great seeing everyone getting involved, having a feed and enjoying the afternoon together.

Tuesdays are going to be a regular Drop-In Activity Day, with something different to get involved in each week.

See you next Tuesday! 🙌

Want to learn how to drive?
Contact us for more information 🚙

Our program Drive to the Future helps young people across regional WA earn their driver's licence, with NO costs.
That means qualified instructors, supervised driving hours, and guidance through documents.

A driving licence may open doors to jobs, education, and independence.

We're here to support that future for you.

(While this reel was filmed in a different location it is a general representation of what our driving sessions would look like with our participants)

Great weekend for the PCYC boxing crew.

Rohan first up, in the quarterfinals of the 70kg novice titles.

A well measured first time performance. Used his jab well, then turned up the heat and work rate when required.

Got the win in the second round, never in trouble.

A bright future assured🥊🥊

Eric up next in the final of the P4P 80kg final, against South Australia’s number 1 light heavy.

Eric’s last performance was his best to date, this one even better.

A high workrate by both fighters in the first, but it was Eric who controlled the fight with the heavier cleaner shots.

2nd went the same, though this time the blows were starting to take its toll.

In the 3rd his opponent picked up the pace, landing shots on EJ. This fired up the Gero Hero. He landed three hard right hands in succession head, body head, enforcing the ref to give his 2nd count. The towel wisely came in and Eric secured the win via 3rd stoppage.

Credit to both opponents.

Thanks to Boxing WA for a great show. Geoff Peterson for the accomodation and Constantino Pismiris for his support in the corner. We owe you a shirt🥊🥊

Special mention to the crew who all came down to support.

As a great man said. “Great team effort”🥊🥊

For those that missed Rohan’s fight, here’s the ending, well worth a watch.
