Our Scouts went on another adventure 😍 This time we went to Toodyay for Nighthawk 2026, where teams of Scouts were navigating 10km through the bush at night using a map and compass without adult support. Like previous years the Scouts did a stellar job, but it was a long night, as their team didn't get to leave until 9.20pm, so didn't get back to base until 3.30am. But unlike previous years the weather was perfect from start to finish 👌 And the location was stunning - we even saw a hot air balloon on the horizon as the sun was rising. A massive thank you to our Leaders and parent helpers for giving our Scouts another outdoor adventure 👏

This week our Scouts took up the challenge of cooking popcorn with candles. They had great success and as a bonus they were delicious. Well done Scouts 👏

National Tree Day, an event we look forward to participating in every year.
Today our Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers planted several hundred plants in the dunes near Forrest St in the foreshore and were joined by Mayor Jerry Clune. Thanks again to everyone who came and helped and to the City of Greater Geraldton for providing the plants and morning tea ⚜️👌🌳

Shout out to our Leaders for National Volunteer Week!
Brumby (Tasch), Kaa (Michael) Akela (Karen) and Smudge (Eric) - all here in the photo - plus Mutley (Beven) and Mrs Skoogs (Tanya). Together they bring over 110 years of Scouting experience to our Scout Group. Add to the mix Booboo (Suzy) and Phoenix (Renee) plus Trainee Leaders Rainbow Unicorn (Kira) and Hibiscus (Zara). Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to delivering a fun and adventurous outdoor program for our youth members is truly appreciated. Thank you for everything you do for Scouting and our community!

Jamboree on Pedals 2026.
Not 42⁰ like it was last year, it was a perfect sunny autumn day. Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers learnt some valuable skills thanks to Spokes cycling club then had a fun afternoon riding their bikes.

2026 Anzac vigil. Our Scouts, Venturers and Rovers stood guard at the Geraldton cenotaph as we have done for decades. Cubs did their duty until 8pm and the older youth took over until the 6am dawn service.
Well done to our youth members and Leaders, your respect and dedication to this tradition is admirable ⚜️
