Hey Geraldton! 🚨

We're hosting a fundraiser for Telethon 2026, right here at The Foreshore, all day! That's right, 11am through to 8:30pm on Saturday the 17th! We're going to be doing some raffles, giveaways + games, we have a special guest performance by Aussie hip-hop artist Greeley, we have music going all day and an after-party starting at 8:30pm (via a gold coin donation) with local DJ Big Luv!
There's heaps of prizes to be won throughout the day, there will be a lunch raffle and a dinner raffle, and we'll also have a few volunteers from the fire department down next to the building with some of their trucks and equipment for the kiddos (and you adult kiddos too) to have a look at and ask questions! (From 11am - 4pm).

ALL proceeds made from donations (raffles, giveaways, games, gold coin donation for after-party etc.) will be donated to Telethon 2026 on behalf of DJ Big Luv + The Foreshore.

Let's rally up together as a community, have a day filled with fun, great food, cold drinks and the lasting support for Telethon!

What an amazing training night! We refreshed our RCR (Road Crash Rescue) training, our probationary members got to get on the hydraulic tools for the first time with the guidance and experience from our senior firefighters and a member of the CFS (Career fighter fighting station) who volunteered their time to help our training progress! Thank you to everyone for coming out and making the night great.

Our Tuesday training last night consisted of a drill call out, a chance for our team to practise under the time pressure of a call out. We had majority of the team running out hoses and two of our members training in BA (Breathing apparatus) with the help of our District Officer Brent running through drills to prepare for there upcoming course. A big thank you to the owners of O’Brien four wheel drive centre for allowing us to use there facilities.

In June each year, we hold our annual AGM (Annual General Meeting) we nominate, vote and elect our executive positions. This year we welcome an entire change over in executive members:

Captain: Lloyd Storey

We sincerely thank last years executive members who have handed over so gracefully and brought us to where we are now. Their leadership, commitment and hard work will forever be appreciated.

On our Tuesday training night we ventured outside of the station! We pulled up at our local marina, and practised our ocean drafting. This is one of the many ways that we can collect water if we don’t have access to a hydrant. This can also be done from other large bodies of water such as dams, pools or lakes!
