The WA Police Force Aboriginal Affairs Division is recruiting Aboriginal Community Liaison Officers across metropolitan and regional Western Australia.

This is an opportunity for Aboriginal people who are passionate about working alongside community and helping build stronger, safer relationships between Aboriginal communities and WA Police.

Community Liaison Officers work in a non-confrontational role, supporting positive engagement and collaboration between Police, Aboriginal people and community stakeholders. They provide culturally appropriate support and guidance, particularly when important community issues arise.

📍 Positions are available across metro and regional WA, including the Mid West and Gascoyne.

Emus have long been an important part of Aboriginal culture, providing food, tools, and traditional bush medicine.

Fun Facts:
🦤 Emus can grow up to 2 metres tall and run at speeds of up to 50 km/h!
🥚 Their dark green eggs are among the largest of any bird in the world.
🌿 Emu fat has traditionally been rendered into oil and used by many Aboriginal communities as a bush medicine to help soothe sore muscles, ease joint pain, and support healthy skin.

The emu is a symbol of resilience, strength, and the deep connection between Aboriginal people and Country.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT RECONCILIATION OFFICER

The City of Greater Geraldton is seeking a passionate and culturally aware person to join its team as a Community Development Reconciliation Officer.

This meaningful role will help lead the City’s Reconciliation Action Plan, strengthen relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and support greater cultural inclusion across the Geraldton community.

The permanent part time position offers up to 45.6 hours per fortnight, with a salary starting from $89,127 per annum pro rata or $45.1046 per hour.

Lived experience, cultural knowledge and passion are valued alongside formal qualifications. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
