Are you or do you know a below-the-knee amputee?

The AmpuEase Research team from Adelaide University are working with below-the-knee amputees to understand their day-to-day experiences and socket challenges. Through detailed surveys, group discussions, and advanced medical imaging, this study aims to uncover how limb, socket, and mobility factors interact, so they can support improved socket design and fitting for a wide range of users.

An Honorarium of $150 will be presented to participants at the end of the study.

🏀 Wheelchair Basketball Update

Our local Tuesday night league will take a short break and return on Tuesday 27 January with pick up games then the start of the new season February 3rd. The later start helps us make room for the Women’s National League schedule.

In the meantime, come and cheer on the , who will be hitting the court at the State Basketball Centre on:

• Tuesday 13 January
• Tuesday 20 January

It’s a fantastic chance to support elite women’s basketball and enjoy some high‑quality games while we gear up for our own season to begin.

Join us for an exciting exhibition match featuring the Pathway Team vs All Stars, showcasing the depth of wheelchair basketball talent in South Australia.

🔔 Important Notice – Special General Meeting
A Special General Meeting will be held immediately after the game to discuss the BSA x SAWBA transition. This will include critical information that will affect both the National League and Local League, so all players, coaches, officials, and members are strongly encouraged to attend.

🍰 Bake Sale on the Night!
Make sure you stop by and support our bake sale — plenty of homemade treats available.

🏀 Double-Header Action
Don’t forget, there will also be a Division 2 game tipping off at 6:00pm, so get there early and enjoy a full night of basketball.

Wheelchair basketball returns Tuesday, December 2nd and we can’t wait to see everyone back on court!

👉 5:00–6:00pm – Come & Try + Shoot Around
Whether you’re brand new, curious to give it a go, or just want to get some shots up, come along and join in. All abilities welcome!

👉 From 6:00pm – Pick-Up Games
We’ll be running casual games all night. You can nominate a team or simply put your hand up and we’ll slot you into one. If you want to play, we’ll find you a game!
