Yesterday, our President, Melanie Annand, met with RSL Tasmania CEO John Hardy to discuss several exciting initiatives that will strengthen support and connection opportunities for our veteran community.
We're pleased to share the following positive outcomes from the meeting:
💜 Women's Social Connection Events – John has generously offered to fund one women-only social connection event each month through Veteran Hub.
💟 Women's Retreat – RSL Tasmania is open to considering funding for a dedicated women veterans' retreat, providing another valuable opportunity for connection and wellbeing.
✨ Veterans Ball 2027 – Initial discussions were held about hosting a Veterans Ball in early 2027. The vision is to make the event affordable for veterans, with a flexible payment plan option available to help spread the cost of tickets.
💬 New Membership Database – Work is underway on a new membership database, which will enhance communication and improve the member experience.
We thank John Hardy and RSL Tasmania for their ongoing support and look forward to continuing to work together to create meaningful opportunities for our veteran community.
Stay tuned for more updates as these initiatives progress.
