On Thursday evening, the George Town Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure of hosting a community networking session with Timberlink.
Timberlink is a leading Australian and New Zealand timber manufacturer, playing a key role in sustainable forestry and supplying structural timber products across the construction industry.

It was an engaging and informative night, with Timberlink sharing insights into their operations, including an overview of their processing facilities, broader business activities, and the important work they do within our community. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, connect directly, and gain a deeper understanding of one of our region’s key employers.

A few key takeaways from the evening:
• Timberlink is strongly community focused, regularly supporting local schools and charities through timber donations and assistance
• Safety is a core priority, with a clear commitment to ensuring everyone goes home safe
• They are dedicated to their workforce and creating meaningful employment opportunities
• There are currently around 15 job vacancies available

For those interested in employment opportunities, we encourage you to visit the Timberlink website to learn more and apply.

Timberlink has also generously extended an invitation to Chamber members for a site tour. Details are still being finalised, but if you are interested, please reach out to us via Facebook and we will share further information once available.

As a Platinum Sponsor of our annual Business Excellence Awards, this event was a great opportunity to acknowledge Timberlink’s ongoing support while giving our business community the chance to connect, learn, and engage.

Thank you to Timberlink for an excellent evening.
