Cardinia Shire Council is currently developing Green Wedge Management Plans for the area and is inviting the community to come along, learn more and speak with Council staff about the project.

The Gembrook drop-in session will be held:

Tuesday 8 September
5.30pm to 7.30pm
Gembrook Community Centre, 4 Gembrook Road

You do not need to attend the session closest to you. Community members are welcome to drop into any of the sessions being held across the Shire.

If you are interested in how our Green Wedge areas are managed into the future, this is a good opportunity to learn more, ask questions and have your say.

A quick reminder that the Gembrook Community Group AGM is on this Tuesday night, and you don’t need to be a member to come along.

We'll be joined by special guest Rachelle Miechelsen from the Emerald and Cockatoo Emergency Support Team, speaking about local emergency planning and preparedness.

There is a lot happening in Gembrook over the coming months. With the grant-funded Visitor/Tourist Activation Strategy and the Tiny Towns projects now getting underway, there are some exciting opportunities ahead for our town. We want these projects, and the future direction of the Community Group more broadly, to be shaped by the people who live, work and run businesses here.

The AGM is a chance to hear what the Group has been working on, meet the people involved and help shape our priorities for the year ahead.

All Committee positions will be open for election, and we’d love to see some new faces get involved. You don't need committee experience - just an interest in Gembrook and a willingness to contribute.

We'll also be joined by guest speaker Rachelle Miechelsen from the Emerald and Cockatoo Emergency Support Team, speaking about local emergency planning and preparedness.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Financial members can vote, and new members can join on the night or email [email protected].

The Gembrook Road Action Team (GRAT) is inviting residents to come along to its next meeting and help identify the priorities we should be advocating for across Gembrook.

With several road projects now completed or progressing, GRAT is looking at what should come next.

Come along and share your thoughts on:
• Roads needing maintenance, upgrading or sealing
• Safer crossings, footpaths and pedestrian connections
• Roadside trees and vegetation concerns

Whether there’s a particular issue you’d like raised or you simply want to get involved, new and interested residents are very welcome.

Gembrook Community Group continues with new committee

We're pleased to share that the Gembrook Community Group will continue, with a new office bearers now in place.

Our committee brings together long-time locals and newer residents who share a passion for our remarkable town. We are committed to building on the group's proud history while creating new opportunities to connect, celebrate and strengthen our community.

Secretary: Samantha Bell
Treasurer: Christine Williams

The group's existing working groups will also continue, supporting the important local projects and initiatives already underway.

A sincere thank you to the outgoing office bearers for their dedication, and to everyone who stepped forward to support the future of the group.

We look forward to representing and supporting the Gembrook community as we begin this next chapter.

We’d like to thank everyone who came along to Gembrook Grooves last weekend. It was a great afternoon with such extraordinary young talent, and we thank them all for sharing that talent with us. We’d also love to thank Jason Wood MP for the grant which allowed us to support this event here in Gembrook, the Amplify Committee and Cardinia Youth Services team for organising with such passion and expertise, and a huge thank you to our GCG volunteers on the day. We couldn’t have done it without you.
