I finally worked up the courage to visit the Beechy Rail trail that has been effected by the recent fires. Alot of the big trees have been cut down due to fire damage The trail itself is still intact though. ( this part of the trail is closed to the public). So quite so sad, nature will return it and I can't wait to see the regrowth.

Hi everyone, new signs were put up today at the top crossing Gellibrand by Geoff Barby and his great helper Arlo. Thanks Geoff. Please note the trail is closed from Gellibrand to Banool because it is fire effected but plenty of of trail opened from Colac to Gelli

The Beechy rail trail might not look the same on your next walk/run or ride. The town walk has been mulched and the part from the top crossing in Gelli to banool has been fire damaged. Keep you posted when that part opens again.
