We're fortunate to have supporters like Nyah Barnes, and the Geelong Times, helping to amplify the voices of our volunteer sector.

This week, Nyah highlighted the launch of the 10th Annual Geelong Volunteer of the Year Awards, helping us celebrate the people who quietly make our community stronger every day. The awards recognise volunteers across five categories and shine a light on the often unseen contributions that help organisations and communities thrive.

Pictured in the article are Volunteering Geelong Chair Christine Heath and President Rosanne Kava, who proudly launched this year's awards and continue to advocate for recognising the volunteers who make such a difference across our region.

Do you know someone who goes above and beyond for their community? Now is the perfect time to recognise them.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Geelong Volunteer of the Year Awards.
